Pinnacle Peak

Legend Trail is a lovely, luxurious golf community in the high Sonoran Desert.  Its location and elevation provides it with cooler temperatures and spectacular views of Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Mountains, and the romantic city lights.  It is home to the public Legend Trail Golf Course which features 18 holes, par 72, wide fairways, small bunkering, and island tees.  Homeowners receive discounted rates to play, but anyone is welcome to try their hand at this challenging but fair course.  The clubhouse features a fitness center, swimming pool, and tennis courts.  Walking trails wind through and around this community.  The homes is this area are truly custom homes, and each one features breathtaking views of mountains, golf course, or both.  Most homes are Mediterranean or Pueblo styled, and feature prominent use of stonework.  The entire community covers 640 acres, with half set aside for natural open space.  The terrain gently slopes and winds through palo verde trees, large boulder formations, and stands of saguaro cacti.

The Retreat features a gated entrance, and the homes within it are situated around the community’s 2 golf courses.  The Talon Course was designed by David Graham and Gary Panks and is a 7000 yard par 72 layout.  The Raptor Course was designed by Tom Fazio is a 7108 yard par 72 course which presents an exceptional challenge.  The Grayhawk Golf Club is available for use on a daily fee basis; there is no need to become a member.  You simply pay when you want to play.  The Clubhouse includes restaurants, a golf shop, locker rooms, and conference rooms.  Homes in The Retreat include both single family structures and townhomes and range from 1770-3744 square feet.
